The Museum of Modern Art, New York, features the work of FRPO on an exhibition opening in some weeks:

Cut ‘n’ Paste: From Architectural Assemblage to Collage City

July 10–December 1, 2013

The ethos of collage shapes every aspect of contemporary culture, from the glut of signs and images to the many layers of digital information to the art of sampling. This installation revisits early uses of collage to trace its evolution as both an aesthetic technique central to architectural representation and a cultural practice of layering, juxtaposition, and remix that configures the city. Opening with the seamless digital collages that dominate contemporary architectural practice, Cut ‘n’ Paste pairs the early photo-collages of Mies van der Rohe with avant-garde experiments in photomontage, graphic design, and film. Architectural thinkers Colin Rowe and Fred Koetter’s Collage City (1978), an urban manifesto for the medium, provides a backdrop through which to reframe contemporary uses. As an architectural tool, this wide-ranging medium mixes high and popular references and offers a dynamic, inventive connection to cultural context.

FINISH LINE Exhibition and Round Table

It is our pleasure to invite you to this year´s inaugural Undergraduate Architecture Thesis Presentation and Exhibition at IE University. Please join us on Friday, June 28^th  in the Cloister and Sala Capitular at IE University Segovia Campus.

The exhibition will be open for viewing  at 3:30pm, and the proceedings will begin at 4pm, with a welcome from IE University Rector Salvador Carmona, followed  by a presentation of the Undergraduate Thesis project by Professors Pablo Oriol, Fernando Rodríguez and Lina Toro.  Student presentations will follow, as well as a lecture from renowned architect and Columbia University Professor Juan Herreros, and a round-table discussion.

FRPO at MoMA New York

FRPO has been selected to take part on the International Architecture Exhibition CUT’N'PASTE, to be held at the museum of Modern Art in New York from July 10th to December 1st 2013. The exhibition will feature our project for the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, a pavilion for temporary exhibitions projected in 2010.

FRPO lectures at UNARTE, Puebla Mexico

FRPO will be lecturing at Unarte University in Puebla, Mexico, in the last week of april. It is indeed very special for us to have the oportunity to visit this institution, which we highly consider as a pioneer Art and Architecture School within Mexico.
